Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about our Repairability Index and Durability Index compliance service for manufacturers and importers.

What does Ripskore do?

Ripskore prepares your Repairability Index or Durability Index compliance package: we review your technical documents, calculate the official score, and deliver official signage (label or pictogram), the scoring detail PDF, Excel calculation sheet, and audit report you share with your sellers.

Who is the service for?

Manufacturers and importers who must establish the score, scoring detail, and supporting documents for the Repairability Index or Durability Index on appliances they place on the French market. Your sellers display the score near the price at purchase; you supply the regulatory assets.

Which product categories do you support?

Today: Repairability Index — vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, electric lawn mower, high-pressure cleaner, laptop; Durability Index — television, washing machine (front-load or top-load). Since 2025, the Durability Index replaces the Repairability Index for televisions and washing machines.

Which documents do I need to upload?

Depending on the regulatory index for your category. Repairability Index — four documents per product reference: exploded view, bill of materials (BOM), spare parts price list, and product documentation. Durability Index (television, washing machine) — the same four documents for the repairability family, plus a fifth "warranty, reliability and quality" upload (commercial warranties, reliability or service-life test summaries, software update commitments, and quality process evidence, depending on the category). French law does not name these uploads explicitly; we require them to process your submission folder. PDF, Excel, or images — up to 25 MB each.

How much does it cost?

€999 excl. VAT per product submission folder — one flat fee that includes document review, score calculation, and all deliverables. No hourly billing or hidden fees.

How fast is delivery?

We target delivery within 72 hours after our team has validated all of your mandatory documents. You can pay first and finish any missing uploads afterward if needed.

What do I receive?

Four deliverables per submission folder: high-resolution official signage (label or pictogram), scoring detail PDF (seller-facing fiche for display near the price), Ademe Excel calculation sheet, and audit report PDF (supporting documentation and traceability). Everything is available for download from your dashboard.

What is the difference between the scoring detail PDF and the audit report?

The scoring detail PDF is the official scoring breakdown (criteria, points, final score) — the file you share with sellers for display on product pages, as major retailers require. The audit report PDF documents our checks, supporting evidence, and grid application choices: it supports internal traceability and regulatory controls, not seller upload.

Are your deliverables compatible with eco-organisms (Ecosystem, Ecologic)?

Yes. The audit report PDF, official Ademe Excel sheet, and scoring detail PDF document the score and methodological justifications — data eco-organisms may require under France's Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework. These deliverables are structured to support your declarations and audits with Ecosystem, Ecologic, or any other eco-organism you belong to, according to their procedures.

What happens if regulations change?

For each paid, fulfilled product submission folder, contact support when the official framework for that category has changed: we update affected deliverables at no extra charge (calculation grid, signage display format, scoring detail PDF, or supporting documentation requirements). At minimum, we update the signage when only display rules change; we also update the Excel sheet, scoring detail PDF, and audit report when the score or supporting documents are impacted. You receive an email and download the files from your dashboard. This does not cover a new product reference, corrections to your spare parts data, or another appliance category. See our General Terms of Sale for the contractual detail.

Is Ripskore a government website?

No. Ripskore is an independent European service provider. For the official regulatory framework and public information, use the government Repairability Index and Durability Index pages linked in our footer.

When do I pay, and what happens next?

Create a submission folder, upload your documents, then pay €999 excl. VAT to start processing. Our team reviews your files; once validated, we produce your compliance package. Track progress from your dashboard.
