General Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 May 2026

These General Terms of Use ("GTU") govern access to and use of the Ripskore website and platform, published by FolieSys SAS. By creating an account or using the service, you accept the GTU. Purchases of services are also governed by the General Terms of Sale (GTS).

1. Purpose

The GTU set out rules for using Ripskore: account creation, product submission folders, document uploads, payment, processing status, and deliverable downloads.

2. Publisher and contact

The publisher is FolieSys SAS, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 105 183 933, with its registered office at 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France. Full legal notice details (share capital, publication director, hosting provider) are available on the website Legal notice page.

Contact: legal@ripskore.com or the dashboard Help page (when you have an active account).

3. Access to the service

The service is intended for professionals in the small household appliance sector (or similar) who need to prepare or publish a Repairability Index under the French framework.

Access requires an Internet connection and a recent browser. The platform, customer files, and backups are hosted in the European Union. Online payment and transactional email may rely on third-party providers selected for appropriate data protection safeguards.

4. User account

Customers create an account with a valid email address and a confidential password. You are responsible for keeping credentials secure and for activity under your account.

Account information (including communication language) must be accurate and kept up to date. Transactional emails and some deliverables use the account communication language.

We may suspend or close an account for breach of the GTU or GTS, suspected fraud, or competent authority requests.

5. Acceptable use

You must not, in particular:

  • use the service for unlawful or misleading purposes;
  • upload infringing, defamatory, malicious, or infected content;
  • attempt to access other users' data or folders;
  • overload or disrupt infrastructure (abusive bots, unauthorized scanning);
  • resell access to the service without written permission.

6. Submission folders and documents

Each product submission folder corresponds to a product model or reference and an appliance category. Customers upload required documents (formats and maximum sizes shown in the UI).

You warrant that you have the necessary rights in uploaded files and that they faithfully represent the relevant product.

Files are stored on infrastructure hosted in the European Union, with restricted access and encryption. Product documents are not stored on cloud environments outside the EU. Contact us for retention details.

7. Independent nature of the service

Ripskore helps produce a compliance package and display materials for the Repairability Index; it does not issue an official State index and does not replace manufacturers' or importers' legal obligations.

Regulatory texts and official guidance (for example on ecologie.gouv.fr) prevail if they differ from a deliverable or website information.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access (maintenance, updates, third-party incidents).

We may evolve features, supported appliance categories, or the interface. We will notify users when a change materially affects a folder in progress.

9. Platform intellectual property

The website, Ripskore brand, software, design, and editorial content are protected. Unauthorized copying or scraping is prohibited.

Deliverables ordered by a customer are for that customer's professional use for the relevant product, within GTS limits.

10. Personal data and hosting

FolieSys SAS processes personal data (identity, email, technical documents that may contain indirect personal data, technical logs, payment data via Stripe) to provide the service, ensure security, and meet legal obligations, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Legal bases: contract performance, legitimate interest (security, service improvement), and legal obligations where applicable.

Sovereign platform: the Ripskore application, database, customer file storage, and related backups are hosted in the European Union (infrastructure located in France). Uploaded product documents are not stored in cloud environments outside the EU.

Limited processing may be entrusted to subprocessors (including payment provider Stripe and email delivery), selected for contractual and technical safeguards appropriate under the GDPR. Payment and messaging flows are separate from product folder storage.

Retention: for the contractual relationship, then limited archiving per legal obligations and limitation periods.

Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable. Contact: legal@ripskore.com. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

11. Cookies and trackers

The site may use strictly necessary cookies (session, security, language preference). Any analytics or marketing cookies, if introduced later, will be disclosed via a banner and, where required, your consent.

12. Changes to the GTU

We may update the GTU. The update date appears at the top. For material changes, we will notify account holders by email or dashboard message. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, unless you object and close your account.

13. Governing law

The GTU are governed by French law. Disputes fall to the competent French courts for FolieSys SAS's registered office, subject to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
