How to Prepare Your Repairability Index Submission in 72h
A step-by-step guide to gathering the 4 files Ripskore requires and submitting them for validation.
You need to publish the Repairability Index for your products and do not know where to start? Here is a step-by-step guide to assemble your submission folder quickly.
Step 1: Gather the technical documentation
Exploded view
The exploded view is a diagram showing all components of the appliance in disassembled form. It must be in PDF or image format (JPEG, PNG).
Tip: If you work with an OEM manufacturer, ask them for the original exploded view. It is often already available as a PDF.
Bill of Materials (BOM)
The BOM lists every part with its reference, name, and quantity. Excel format is preferred, but PDF is accepted.
Spare parts price list
This document shows the ex-VAT price of each spare part, as well as availability lead times. Provide in Excel or PDF format.
Product documentation
The user manual is sufficient in most cases. If you have more detailed technical documentation (repair diagrams, diagnostic guides), include it. PDF or image format.
Step 2: Create your submission folder on the platform
Once all 4 files are ready (Ripskore requires one of each type per submission folder):
- Create an account on the platform
- Select your appliance category
- Upload all 4 files
- Accept the Terms of Sale and Terms of Use
- Proceed to payment (€999 excl. VAT)
Step 3: Let experts review your folder
After payment, an operator reviews each document. If a document is rejected, you receive an email with the reason and can replace it immediately.
Step 4: Receive your compliance package
Once validated, you receive four deliverables:
- The Repairability Index label, ready to publish
- The scoring detail PDF to share with your sellers (display near the price)
- The official Excel calculation sheet (score out of 10)
- The complete audit report (supporting documentation and traceability)
Everything is downloadable from your dashboard — audit-ready for DGCCRF inspection, with the scoring detail PDF ready to share with sellers.
